Police in Stirlingshire are investigating after a motorcyclist died when he crashed into a roundabout sign in a Scots retail park.
The incident happened around 10.30pm yesterday on Muirton Road, which is a 30mph two laned road within Springkerse retail park.
A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries when his Kawasaki motorcycle was involved in a collision with a fixed sign on the roundabout.
He was subsequently conveyed to Glasgow Southern General Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Road Policing Officers closed the road for around six hours while they conducted an investigation at the scene.
Anyone who can assist police with their ongoing investigation is asked to come forward.
Police Sergeant Roddy MacMillan from the trunk road policing unit in Stirling said: “We are still looking to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would ask that any motorists
who were on the road at the time, and who witnessed the incident, contacts police immediately.
“Similarly, anyone with any further information relevant to our inquiry should also get in touch.”
