Police have confirmed that an elderly motorcyclist has died following a crash on the A82.
The crash involved two cars and a motorbike five miles north of Luss, Argyll & Bute, at around 11.05am.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but were unable to save the 86-year-old driver of the motorbike.
The entire road was closed for some time, however, one lane has now re-opened with police allowing traffic to pass in both directions.
Police are looking to speak to witnesses and sergeant Archie McGuire said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw a black Honda motorcycle travelling north along the A82 or witnessed the collision to contact police immediately.
“In particular I would like to speak to the driver of a black 4×4 vehicle, possibly a Ford pickup truck, who was heading southbound on the road and may have witnessed the incident.
Police are encouraging anyone with information about the crash to contact them on 101.
