The heartbroken mother of the nine-year-old boy killed in an accident on the A90 has taken to social media to pay tribute to her “gift from above”.
Kairon Mckay, nine, was killed in a collision with a car on the A90 last night around 9.20pm and today his mother, Laura Mckay, has taken to Facebook to speak of her devastation and say her son was supposed to be playing on his new skateboard “nowhere near Longforgan” where the tragic accident happened.
This morning the devastated mother said: “He was meant to be out playing on skateboards in Inchture, nowhere near Longforgan.
“I feel completely responsible … No words can hurt any deeper than I feel right now.
“I have no blame on anyone, not the kids he was with or the driver. It’s just an awful accident and now I’m paying for it by not having my wee boy beside me for the rest of my life.”
“I’m seriously grateful for every single person who’s commented or messaged me even from the people I don’t talk to anymore for what ever reasons.
“I’ve not quite got my head around this and accepting it’s not something I’m ready to do so for now I’m going to go back to laying in silence with my thoughts of my precious boy.”
Anyone who witnessed the accident or who has any information is asked to phone police on 101.
