Video shows the eye of Storm Abigail as it sweeps over Stornoway

Watch our video showing Storm Abigail sweep across Stornoway last night.

Police closed the Braighe causeway from Stornoway to point because of high waves battering the road.

Whilst all schools were shutdown today as a precaution following the Met Office weather warning.

Hundreds of homes were also left without power as engineers battled to repair wind-damaged lines.
