Police have confirmed that a woman has died following a crash involving a car and a bus.
The crash happened yesterday morning around 10am on the A9 between Murthly and Bankfoot.
The collision involved a red Mazda CX5 and a single decker bus and police have confirmed that the 96-year-old passenger of the Mazda was taken to Ninewells Hospital but has sadly died.
The driver, a woman in her sixties, was also taken to hospital did not sustain life threatening injuries.
There were no passengers on the bus when the collision occurred.
As part of ongoing enquiries into the collision, police are looking to speak to anyone who may have seen the red Mazda CX5 or the bus travelling south, prior to the time of the incident.
