A man has died this afternoon when he was hit by a train.
The man was hit at 4.10pm at Bishopbriggs, north of Glasgow.
Police, ambulance and fire teams are still attending the scene.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said that the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
As a result of the incident, trains from Glasgow to Aberdeen are being delayed.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “At the moment, trains going north and east have been disrupted at Bishopbriggs where somebody has been struck by a train.
“Emergency services are on the scene.
“Trains have been delayed while we deal with this issue.”
