A furious farmer has released shocking pictures of nine dead pregnant sheep savaged by a pack of German Shepherd dogs allowed to roam off their lead.
And another 21 of farmer Alister Orr’s pregnant sheep are missing feared drowned after the sheep ran into a river to escape the dogs.
Only four of his flock – which were all expecting twin lambs – have survived.
Alister, 38, told of his fury that the owner of the three German Shepherds had recklessly let the dogs roam off the lead while walking them near his farm.
He said: “I believe the dogs should have been seized by the police at the scene, but the officers there told me that there is no law that allows them to do that.”
