Police are investigating a fatal fire at a farm in Perthshire where a caravan used as accommodation for migrant farm workers went up in flames.
At least one person is known to have died in the blaze at Mains of Errol Farm, which started in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The farm is operated by W Glen and Son, one of the country’s top producers of soft fruit.
No one from the company was available for comment.
There a dozens of other caravans at the site, used as accommodation by workers who pick strawberries at the farm.
A force spokesman said: “Police Scotland is currently investigating a fatal fire which occurred at Mains of Errol farm near Errol, Perthshire in the early hours of Sunday 31st July 2016.
“A joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is being conducted and enquiries are at an early stage.”
