A well-known Tayside cafe favoured by Dons fans and rugby fanatics has been immortalised in this month’s edition of glamour magazine Vogue.
The Horn in Errol is better known for bacon rolls than high glamour but the eatery was spotted by location scouts and chosen for this month’s motorcross-themed photoshoot.
Accomplished model Edie Campbell and skateboarder Blondie McCoy were accompanied by a crew of around 20 people for the shoot in July but the owners were told not to tell anyone until the magazine was published.
Owner Kenny Farquharson told Tay FM: “It was a bizarre one. We got an enquiry from a location company in Edinburgh looking for a place that would do a photoshoot for motorcross gear.
“They decided The Horn would be the ideal place to carry that out.
“They didn’t actually tell us what publication it was for so it was a bit of a shock when Vogue turned up.
“We found out the day before and the next day they turned up with three vans and a crew of 20.
“I didn’t think it would be the first place that Vogue would think to come to but I was very pleased that it happened.”
He added: “The pleasing thing from our point of view is that even top Vogue models are partial to a Horn bacon roll.”
