Man seriously injured after crashing into tree off A90

One of the north-east’s busiest roads is blocked this morning after a serious crash involving one car .
A 19-year-old male driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa, which left the northbound carriageway and collided with a tree near the Careston junction, has been taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries.
The A90 Angus in Finavon is closed and there is slow traffic northbound between the A94 junction and the B957 junction, because of the accident.
Traffic is being halted to allow for recovery work.
Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving one vehicle on the A90 Forfar to Brechin Road that happened at 7.30am this morning (Wednesday, January 27).
Anyone who was travelling on the A90 near Finavon or Brechin at this time and has any information that could assist officers with their enquiries into the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
