She was taken to hospital after the red Citroen DS3 came off of the A950 New Pitsligo to Peterhead Road at 9.45am. The incident occurred roughly one mile from New Pitsligo, with the route left blocked for several hours. Firefighters and the ambulance service were called to assist police in releasing a woman from the vehicle. Her injuries were not believed to be serious. Two fire appliances were called from Fraserburgh and Maud to assist at 10.30am. A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “It was one vehicle, and it was one female casualty. I think we left her in the care of the ambulance service. “We had to remove the roof of the car to remove the casualty using a rescue board. Stabilising and hydrology equipment were in use.” A police spokeswoman said: “It was on the A950 one mile from New Pitsligo heading towards Mintlaw. Ambulance attended the scene.”
