The utility plans to carry out mains and sewer diversions at the spot for two weeks from next Monday. It is part of the £30million Transport Scotland scheme to improve congestion. Lanes approaching the roundabout will be closed to motorists. For the first week the A90 North Anderson Drive will be reduced to one lane northbound and then southbound to the road’s junction with Manor Avenue. The following week there will be lane closures on the A96 Great Northern Road and also at the junction with Manor Drive. Scottish Water stressed the work will be done outside rush hour. A spokesman said: “There will only be one lane closure in place at any one time. “This work will take place between the hours of 9.30am to 3.30pm each day to minimise disruption for commuters. “Access will be maintained to Manor Avenue and Manor Drive during both sections of work. “Scottish Water would like to thank customers for their patience during these works.”
