Two people have been taken to hospital after a bus crashed into scaffolding on Aberdeen’s Union Street.
The incident, which also involved a white Volkswagan, happened near Gilcomstoun Church at 11.40am.
No-one was on the scaffolding at the time, but it did sustain some damage.
Two ambulances attended and transferred two patients to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
A third, believed to be the driver of the Volkswagan, was treated at the scene by paramedics but did not need to be taken to hospital.
Two fire engines and a heavy rescue vehicle were also called to assist. A fire service spokeswoman said that fire crews helped to clear the road and make the vehicles safe.
A police spokeswoman said: “We got a call at 11.30am reporting that there had been a collision between a car and a bus and that the bus had mounted the pavement and hit some scaffolding.
“A few windows were also smashed at the side of the bus.”
The bus was removed from the scene at around 12.45pm.
