A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash involving a tractor on a rural north-east road.
He is said to have been trapped inside the green Claas farm vehicle following the incident on the Glenbervie Road, at Milton Park, near Drumithie, at about 10.20am.
Police, fire and rescue and ambulance services were called to the scene.
He was freed from the vehicle prior to firefighters arriving at the incident.
The man has been taken to hospital, and police said his injuries are being “treated as serious”.
The road has been closed.
A police spokesman said: “One vehicle was involved. One person was taken to hospital. We are waiting on an update on his condition.
“We are not sure of the circumstances at this time. We are investigating at the moment as a precaution, and are waiting for an update. The full extent of his injuries are unknown.”
Two fire appliances – one from Laurencekirk and another from Stonehaven – were called to the scene.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “We were in attendance. We had our Laurencekirk appliance and our Stonehaven appliance mobilised to that.
“We got a call from the ambulance service at 10.18am. It was a road traffic collision between Drumlithie and Milton Park.
“There was a person trapped. When we got there the casualty had been removed. Small gear was used.”
