A man was taken to hospital after a car came off a north-east road yesterday afternoon.
Police, the fire and rescue services and paramedics were called to the incident involving a Vauxhall Astra on the B9120 road, between Laurencekirk and St Cyrus, just after 2pm.
The male driver of the car was rushed to hospital, although his injuries were not believed to be serious.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman confirmed an appliance had been sent from Laurencekirk to help with the incident.
She added: “One car was in a field and we sent one unit to see if there was anything we could do.
“We got the call at 2.14pm, it was on a back road between St Cyrus and Laurencekirk.
“All persons were released prior to our arrival. We just made the scene safe.”
A police spokeswoman said: “It was reported to us at 2.17pm, the fire and rescue service advised us of a one-vehicle road traffic collision.”
The road was not closed whilst the incident was addressed.
