Two cut free from car following crash on north-east road

Two women were left trapped in a car following a crash on the north-east’s busiest road.
The vehicle came off of the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road, north of Ellon, at about 9.10pm.
Police, fire and rescue and ambulance services were called to the scene.
Firefighters rescued two females from the white Vauxhall Meriva involved in the incident.
Nobody is said to be injured.
Two fire teams from Ellon were called to the crash, using small gear and lighting to free the pair.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “We got the call at 9.20pm. We sent two appliances both from Ellon. The stop message came back at 9.35pm.
“It was a one vehicle road traffic collision, two persons were trapped. they were released by us and they are in the care of paramedics.”
Traffic is said to be building up on the route, though it has not been closed.
A police spokesman said: “It was one vehicle, there was no injury. The car is off the road, it is not causing major issues. There was some build up of traffic. Ambulance is on the scene just checking over. We got the call at 9.10pm.”
