Police and ambulance teams were called to the scene of the incident on Station Road shortly before 6pm. The crash took place close to the Lidl supermarket, near the train station. The severity of the woman’s injuries are currently unclear. The bus involved in the collision was Doig’s of Glasgow coach. The road was closed for a number of hours while the emergency services attended the scene. UPDATE: A police spokesman confirmed the woman has not suffered life-threatening injuries.
