Rail disruption after cow hit by Aberdeen to London train.

Railway disruption has been caused after a cow was hit by an Aberdeen to London train this afternoon.

The collision happened near Laurencekirk, causing a fault on the line. A crew along with infrastructure staff have been working to fix it.

The line toward Dundee from Aberdeen is blocked and checks were being carried out to see if the line could be operated further north.

Four replacement buses at Aberdeen were put in place for passengers.

Scotrail are aiming to have the line reopened by 6.30pm.
