Moray motorists are being warned of delays later this month when giant pieces of electrical equipment are transported along a 13-mile stretch of the region.
Massive transformers will be ferried from Buckie Harbour to the Blackhillock electricity substation, near Keith, on two separate dates.
They will be conveyed by slow-moving lorries on Wednesday, June 14, and again on Sunday, June 18.
On both occasions, a 193-tonne transformer will be taken to the substation to be installed.
Both journeys will begin at 9.30am and take between one-and-a-half and two hours via the A98 between Buckie and Fochabers, the B9016 Braes of Enzie road and the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road near Keith.
The average speed of the wide-load transporter, which will travel under escort, will be around 10mph and vehicles will not be allowed to overtake it.
A Moray Council spokesman said: “In view of the width and slow speed of the transporter, motorists may want to take an alternative route between the hours of 9.30am and 11.30am on the days in question.”
The transformers will arrive by cargo vessel at Buckie Harbour on Sunday and will be lifted ashore by crane the following day.
