Motorists have been warned they face disruption on the northbound A9 at Drumochter next week as resurfacing work gets under way.
The £450,000 improvements to a section of the dual carriageway will begin on Monday, June 19 and last for 10 days, with no weekend working currently planned.
Work will be carried out from 7am to 7pm, with a 10mph convoy system to operate on the northbound carriageway.
Outwith working hours, a lane closure will remain in place for safety until the resurfacing is complete.
Due to the nature and location of the resurfacing operations, the Trinafour junction will be closed during operations.
A signed diversion route will be in place via the B847 during the improvements.
Other than restricted access to the Trinafour junction, southbound traffic will be unaffected.
Emergency services will be able to pass through the works at all times.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative, said: “The surfacing improvements will help address the defects on this section of the A9 and greatly improve the surface for motorists.
“We’ve planned the works to take place outwith the busy weekend period to limit the impact to motorists, and our teams will do all they can to minimise any disruption during the improvements.
“We encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information before setting off.”
