A woman had been cut free from her vehicle and taken to hospital following a two-car crash on a Morayshire road.
The A941 Lossiemouth to Rhynie road remains closed until the car the woman was driving, which landed in the ditch, can be recovered.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said the accident took place at around 4pm near the Glen of Rothes Trout Fishery.
She said: “One casualty was trapped in a vehicle. We used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty, who is now with the ambulance service.”
A police spokeswoman said: “A woman has sustained injuries. The seriousness of the injuries has not been confirmed. She is being taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for assessment.
“The road will be reopened once the vehicle has been recovered.”
