The issue affected services travelling from Aberdeen to Inverurie and Inverness. The train operator tweeted they had arranged replacement transport from Aberdeen – due to arrive at 5pm – and Inverness for the 18.13 departure. Commuters were also told they could use their ScotRail ticket on Stagecoach North buses (Numbers 10 and 11) between Aberdeen and Inverness. Services have now been resumed to normal.
