The city council says it will seek to relocate a planned community garden if the railway land it is being built on is needed for the expansion of the line.
Yesterday LDA design unveiled new images of the proposed £22million revamp of Aberdeen’s Union Terrace Gardens.
They showed changes requested by Network Rail which asked that the Union Street walkway be realigned to avoid disrupting any future work to improve train travel.
Should such plans also mean the community garden having to be given up, options for relocating it within UTG would be explored, officials made clear.
Councillors are expected to vote whether to grant full planning permission next year.
