The B979 Netherley Road near Stonehaven will be closed this weekend for surfacing works.
The road is expected to close from around 8pm on Friday until 6pm on Monday as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route project.
The closure will allow the contractor to re-align the A90 northbound slip roads and carry out surfacing works as it continues to construct a new roundabout.
There will be no direct access for pedestrians or cyclists although diversions will be in place.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to ensure anyone who needs to use this section of the B979 Netherley Road this weekend has a viable alternative available to them, while enhancing the safety of road users and road workers.
“These works have been planned to take place at a time when traffic will be quieter to help minimise the impact they may have on road users.”
