Police have issued an updated list of roads affected by flooding across the north-east tonight.
The force issued the update at 9pm, after hours of pounding rain combined with melting snow to raise river levels and cause chaos across the region’s roads.
A police statement said: “Numerous routes throughout the north-east are affected by heavy surface water and areas of flooding, which are creating hazardous driving conditions.”
The Hatton Of Fintry road, which is by the River Don, is closed.
Several other roads have been listed as “passable with care”.
Those are Pitsligo Street in Fraserburgh, Sunnyside Avenue in Banchory, Old Stonehaven Road outside Aberdeen, and Wellington Road and Gourdie Park in the city.
