Scotrail said a passenger had “caused a disturbance” on one of its services, forcing the journey to be abandoned at around 6pm. A police spokesman said the man had assaulted a conductor, and was then arrested. The train terminated at Elgin, with passengers apparently urged to remain on-board as British Transport Police officers were called to the scene. Scotrail said the incident has disrupted later services.
