The roads service will start on Monday and the work is expected to take up to six weeks, weather permitting. Thereafter it will be followed by a three week period to allow the bedding to cure. The works will take place near the junction with Stouts Court towards South Commercial Street which will be closed to through traffic. The one-way traffic order normally in force will be suspended to allow two-way vehicle access to properties from Church Road and Twageos Road. Pedestrians will continue to have access along South Commercial Street throughout the work. The Shetland Islands Council also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
