A 28-year-old man has been charged after he was allegedly caught driving at 104mph in a 70mph zone on the A90.
Officers have issued a warning about the dangers of speeding following the incident near Murcar on Friday.
Road Policing Sergeant Stuart Lawrence said: “The rider was stopped as part of Police Scotland’s Motorcycle Safety Campaign, which aims to improve rider behaviour and reduce the number of riders injured in collisions.
“As the good weather continues, more motorcyclists are taking to the roads. Police Scotland wants to see them enjoying their time out and about, but more importantly wants to see them make it home safely.
“I would urge riders to consider the personal consequences of taking any risks, reduce their speed, and obey the rules of the road. Officers will continue to interact with riders to educate them and enforce legislation where appropriate.”
It is anticipated the motorcyclist will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.
