Work on adding white lines to the new Aberdeen bypass will create traffic delays over the weekend.
The southbound slip of the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road, between Blackdog and Balmedie, will be closed overnight as contractors work in a convoy of vehicles while undertaking “essential white-lining works”.
The overnight convoy is expected to be in place from around 10pm on Saturday until 6am the following day.
Convoy working will again take place from about 10pm on Sunday until 6am on Monday.
The nature of the work requires road users to stop at temporary traffic signals during quieter periods.
The contractor will then escort road users through the works at 10mph for safety reasons, using an official site vehicle.
The A90 southbound diverge slip road at the Balmedie junction will be closed from around 8pm tomorrow until 6am on Saturday for finishing and surfacing works.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “As these works will bring drivers into close proximity with road workers, we would like to encourage road users to apply more caution than usual when driving through or nearby this section of the A90.”
