The long-awaited AWPR that circumnavigates Aberdeen city centre is set to open in a few days time.
Transport Scotland confirmed the news today as the A90 between Stonehaven and Craibstone and the A956 between Cleanhill and Charleston route will open to traffic early Wednesday morning.
The significant new section of road will give north-east road users access to around 20 miles of new road.
Police will be in operation phasing traffic onto the road as it opens – for safety reasons, there will be no access to the northbound AWPR from Kingswells North until the final section of road is complete.
