An investigation has been launched after a bus caught fire on the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road this week. The emergency services were called to the scene of the incident close to Foveran at around 7.30pm on Tuesday night. The road was shut while police and fire teams made the scene safe, and ambulance teams treated four people for smoke inhalation. Nobody was seriously hurt in the fire on board the Stagecoach bus. A spokeswoman for the Stagecoach North Scotland said: “On detecting smoke, the driver immediately stopped and evacuated the vehicle. “Safety is our absolute top priority, and we will carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident .
