Road closures on the A90 around Fraserburgh will be in place for the next two weeks, while £160,000 of carriageway improvements are carried out.
The resurfacing work by Bear Scotland will create a smoother and quieter road surface, improving safety at the same time.
For the next five days, the A90 between Links Road and Commerce Street will be blocked off from 7am to 5.30pm.
The second phase of work will be carried out over the same daytime hours between Commerce Street and High Street from Monday March 25 to Friday March 22.
Diversions will be in place and local access to Barrack Lane and Love Lane will be maintained during the work.
The A90 will be open as normal during the weekends.
Andy Thompson from Bear Scotland said: “This £160,000 improvement project for the A90 in Fraserburgh will allow us to repair a number of cracks, potholes and any other issues on the carriageway through the town.
“The traffic management is essential to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists during the project.
“However, we’ve taken steps to minimise disruption by planning these works to take place in two phases through the town over ten days to break up the overall impact to residents and the local community.”
He added: “Our teams will do all they can to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible.”
