A north-east bus company will be supporting the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival this year by operating additional services between Elgin and Dufftown.
Stagecoach North Scotland connects the two locations every hour from Monday to Saturday, but during the festival, the service will run on the Sunday as well.
Spirit of Speyside is now in its 20th year and will take place from May 1 until May 6.
Following the success in previous years, the service 36 bus timetable between Elgin and Dufftown will be enhanced to allow visitors to explore the festival’s eclectic events.
On Monday May 6, all bus services in Moray will operate to a Saturday service.
Those who have booked to attend one of more than 500 events which have been organised as part of the festival can also take advantage of discounted bus travel.
A day ticket in Moray will cost £7 when a valid festival event booking is shown to the bus driver and will connect from Dufftown to Elgin and as far as Forres and Keith.
David Liston, managing director for Stagecoach North Scotland said: “It is fantastic to see the whisky festival going from strength to strength and we are delighted to be able to continue to provide additional transport options over the weekend for those visiting as well as our special discounted ticket.
“We hope that the additional bus connections on Sunday will ensure festival goers can enjoy an extra dram as we’ll take care of the driving.”
