The Caledonian Sleeper has been forced to cancel two of its services after a freight train breaks down on the line.
Northbound and southbound journeys between Fort William and Edinburgh have been cancelled with passengers being transferred via road transport to the capital where the service will begin.
Subsequently the northbound Highlander train is currently delayed by 2-3 hours. This train is expected to continue its route to Inverness and Aberdeen.
Please accept our sincerest of apologies for the major delay, which was outwith the Caledonian Sleeper's control. We are working hard to minimize any further delay.
