The Scottish Government has pledged to investigate safety at one of the many new AWPR junctions.
Significant concerns have been raised about the junction on the A944 between Kingswells and Westhill
In August, officers were called to Westhill’s Skene Road following an accident.
No-one was injured, but the vehicles involved and a light on the central reservation were damaged.
Kingswell, Sheddocksley and Summerhill councillor Steve Delaney has been among those calling for the junction to be investigated “as a matter of urgency”.
Liberal Democrat Mr Delaney said: “I have been told anecdotally of a number of near misses and now there have been some accidents.
“I’m not a roads engineer so I can’t comment on exactly what can be done but it is up to Transport Scotland to look at this without delay.”
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “Safety is of paramount importance to us.
“We are working closely with Aberdeen City Council and the roads authority to identify measures to improve the performance of this junction.
“Once an approach is agreed, we will provide road users with an update.
“We continue to advise motorists to adjust their driving to align with road conditions and always to approach any junction with care.”
