A man was attacked by another passenger as he travelled on a bus through Moray on Hogmanay.
The incident happened at 7pm on the Number 32 Stagecoach bus heading for Duffus from Elgin.
A 38-year-old man was sitting on the bus when he was attacked by another passenger, sustaining minor injuries.
The suspect is described as being a white man, in his mid-40s and around 5 ft 5, with a bald head, slim build, and was wearing a black leather jacket.
PC Selina Banford, from Lossiemouth Police Station, said: “We know there were several other passengers on the bus, who witnessed the incident, and are asking for people to come forward.
“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3007 of 31 December.”
