ScotRail said services between Aberdeen and Inverness will be cancelled, delayed or revised after the fault was discovered between Inverurie and Dyce. The rail operator said at 11.45am that staff were on their way to the site and will provide updates as soon as possible. A statement from Scotrail said: “We have been advised of a level crossing fault between Inverurie and Dyce which is causing delays to our services. “Workers are en route to fix the fault and we will provide an update once we have more information. “Services between Aberdeen and Inverness will be delayed or revised. “Due to a fault with barriers at a level crossing between Inverurie and Dyce trains have to run at reduced speed. “Disruption is expected.” Services affected so far include the 1221 Inverurie to Aberdeen train, which was cancelled.
