Aberdeen police warn of potential for more flooding

Police in Aberdeen have issued a warning about potential flooding of a city street this afternoon.
Riverside Drive may have to be closed at around 4pm – high tide – if water levels rise too high.
A police spokeswoman said: “There is a possibility that the River Dee will overspill in the Riverside Drive area at around 4pm and if this happens, the road will likely need to be closed.
“Police are advising motorists to be aware that alternative routes may need to be taken.”
She added: “Police Scotland will be monitoring the road throughout the day and will work with transport partners should the road need to be closed.
“If the road is closed, further updates will be provided.”
