Work to repair a bridge on a busy north-east road will begin tonight.
Essential repairs will be carried out on the Glaslaw interchange, near Stonehaven, on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road.
The £67,000 project will focus on replacing the failing bridge deck joints.
Bear Scotland will do the works overnight, between 7.30pm and 6.30am, and expect it to take seven nights.
Tonight, the team may need to close the northbound off-slip to allow the works to be carried out safely. The diversion will be via the A90 Netherley road junction.
There will also be alternate lane closures on the northbound and southbound carriageways, with a convoy system in place.
When the works are not being carried out, traffic will flow as normal.
Andy Thomson, Bear Scotland’s operating company representative for the north-east, said: “These works are part of our commitment to maintain the trunk road network in the north-east to the highest standard and we have worked closely with Aberdeenshire Council and Police Scotland to ensure works will be carried out with minimum inconvenience to motorists.”
