Good morning P&J readers, looks like there’s a bleak day ahead of us.
High winds and rain are likely to affect several travel routes today.
Met Office issued a yellow warning for high wind and rain earlier this week, and commuters are advised to plan ahead.
Several ferry services are likely to be disrupted, with several sailings already delayed or cancelled.
There’s high winds at Skye Bridge and Kessock Bridge, so approach with care.
But all things considered, things aren’t looking too bad. Here’s a couple of non-weather related things to look out for.
In Aberdeen, Traffic is slower than usual on the A96 between Kinsgwells and Aberdeen near the Chapel of Stoneywood due to maintenance work.
There’s long-term roadworks on St Machar Drive in Tillydrone at the Bedford Road junction.
A diversion is still in place at Riverside Drive.
The usual congestion can be expected around Haudagain, Union Street, Holburn Street and the Beach Boulevard.
In Aberdeenshire one lane on the A90 at Stonehaven is closed for resurfacing during the night.
There’s also resurfacing work outside Peterhead, which could cause delays.
And in Keith temporary traffic lights are in place in both directions on Moss Street at the Bridge Street junction.
