Police officers were called to the Cairn O’ mount on the B974 Banchory to Fettercairn road at 7.55am. The road has since been gritted by the Aberdeenshire council and is open, and the 20 vehicles were all freed by 9.39am. A police spokeswoman said: “We are advising motorists to travel with care in icy these conditions.”
