Drifting snow has kept the A939 Cock Bridge to Tomintoul road along with the A93 Braemar to Blairgowrie road at Glenshee closed today. The B974 Banchory to Fettercairn – or Cairn O’Mount – road also remains closed due to the weather. This morning the first flurry of snow arrived in towns and villages across Aberdeenshire. A93 Braemar to Cairnwell road The wintry weather is set to continue into the night with around 4in of snow set to fall in the highest regions of Grampian. Lower areas, including Aberdeen, could also see snow overnight. Meanwhile, in the north the snow brought with it chaos on the roads, causing a lorry to jack-knife on the A9 Perth to Inverness road, near Aviemore. A93 – wintry weather causes lorry to jackknife.
