Good morning folks, it’s Friday! The weekend is just hours away…
Snow and ice is causing travel turmoil across the north today – so be careful on those roads.
A yellow weather warning for across the country has been in place for much of the week and commuters are advised to plan ahead.
The B939 at Tomintoul and the A93 at Braemar are closed due to snow.
In the Highlands the B9007 Ferness road is closed due to snow – although this is not having a serious effect on traffic.
Scotrail are running a replacement bus service across the Highlands due to snow disruption.
And industrial action is causing disruption to Shetland ferry services.
Now for some non-weather related things to look out for:
In Aberdeen, Traffic is slower than usual on the A96 between Kinsgwells and Aberdeen near the Chapel of Stoneywood due to maintenance work.
There’s long-term roadworks on St Machar Drive in Tillydrone at the Bedford Road junction.
A diversion is still in place at Riverside Drive.
The usual congestion can be expected around Haudagain, Union Street, Holburn Street and the Beach Boulevard.
In Aberdeenshire one lane on the A90 at Stonehaven is closed for resurfacing during the night.
There’s also resurfacing work outside Peterhead, which could cause delays.
And in Keith temporary traffic lights are in place in both directions on Moss Street at the Bridge Street junction.
