For the first day, in what feels like forever, there’s not a severe weather warning in sight.
Gone seems the snow and almost Arctic temperatures, and better still, only eight days until Christmas.
But before we start preparing the turkey, here’s today’s travel.
It’s still a little windy so watch out on Skye Bridge and Dornoch Bridge.
Only one ferry service is facing delay today – the Kennacraig – Port Askaig/Port Ellen sailing.
The snow gates on the B974 are closed.

In Aberdeen there’s long-term roadworks on St Machar Drive in Tillydrone at the Bedford Road junction.
A diversion is still in place at Riverside Drive.
The usual congestion can be expected around Haudagain, Union Street, Holburn Street and the Beach Boulevard.
In Aberdeenshire one lane on the A90 at Stonehaven is closed for resurfacing during the night.
There’s also resurfacing work outside Peterhead, which could cause delays.
And in Keith temporary traffic lights are in place in both directions on Moss Street at the Bridge Street junction.
#A96 E/B at Moss St in Keith – Tempt traffic lights in place until 19th Dec between 9:30am and 4pm each day #ScottishWaterWorks
