Several roads have been closed across Aberdeenshire and the Highlands as wintry weather continues to cause traffic chaos across the country.
Drivers are advised to drive cautiously due to the icy conditions, and to plan their journeys in advance where possible.
The heavy snowfall has resulted in a number of road closures so far, including:

B9002 between the A947 and the A941
A939 from Ballater to Corgarff

A spate of crashes and accidents on roads across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands due to the wintry conditions have also caused delays.

Police were called to the scene and the road was cleared of the two damaged vehicles by 8.55am.
Morning commuters were faced with further delays after a blue Mazda 6 smashed into a lamppost on the A90 southbound just before Newtonhill.

And a driver of a gritter has died after overturning on the A90 in Angus this morning.
The 29-year-old crashed at 6.25 am, causing heavy disruption to traffic on the road.
Commuters are also facing heavy traffic on the A90 southbound from the B&Q roundabout, with congestion and tailbacks reaching as far as the AECC.
And the forcast for the rest of the day
The wintry weather is expected to continue for the rest of the day, with snow flurries and sleet expected along the Moray and Aberdeenshire coast, with temperatures only reaching 4 C in these regions.
And in the north-west Highlands and Western Isles, the forecast is a litte brighter, with sunny intervals and a few wintry showers, and maximum temperatures of a balmy 5C.
Orkney and Shetland are also to be spared much of the heavier winter weather, with only a few showers of rain and sleet expected for the rest of the day.
