A 26-year-old man has been charged after a bus was stolen from Aberdeen bus station.
The bus was taken from the Guild Street station at about 11.40pm last night, and driven around the city – colliding with lamp posts, signs and barriers and other vehicles.
Nobody was injured.
A 26-year-old man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the incident tomorrow.
A police spokesman said: “The vehicle was driven around parts of Aberdeen City, during which time the bus collided with a number of items of street furniture and other vehicles.
“A 26 year-old man was subsequently arrested by officers and reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.”
He is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
A Stagecoach Spokesman said: “We can confirm one of our vehicles was taken from Aberdeen Bus Station around 11.40pm yesterday and subsequently recovered by police.”
