A motorcyclist was taken to hospital last night following a crash with a van from a Moray motorbike store.
Police and paramedics were called to the unclassified road at Clackmarras, between Lhanbryde and Millbuies, at 5.20pm.
The male biker is being treated at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin after the Yamaha motorbike collided with a Renault Trafic van from Tom Adamson’s “two wheeled superstore” in Elgin.
The man is believed to be an employee of the firm.
Last night police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remained closed until 7.20pm while officers awaited word of his condition.
The damaged Yamaha was later removed in the van.
A police spokesman said: “Officers arrived on the scene at around 5.20pm and closed the road.
“The motorcyclist was then taken to hospital, and the road remained closed until we were updated on the man’s condition.
“The man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.”
Motorcycle dealer Tom Adamson said: “The accident was dealt with properly by the services involved, and the Yamaha was removed in one of our vehicles.
“The police and the ambulance service were magnificent in how they handled things.”
