A perfect storm for commuter chaos is forecast for the beginning of next week.
A s well as road closures and traffic restrictions across Aberdeen city, (See here) the main road connecting the central belt to the north-east is set for major resurfacing works at the start of Offshore Europe next week.
Overnight work will take place on the A90 near Laurencekirk from Monday (September 7) for four nights.
The improvements, costing over £180,000 will cover a 1.2km section of the southbound route between the Fourdon and Mill of Conveth junctions.
A convoy system of traffic management will be in operation with a 10mph speed limit to help keep workers and motorists safe.
The system will be in place between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
The work to the southbound carriage way, which will include refreshing road markings, is funded by Transport Scotland and are being carried out by BEAR Scotland.
