The accident involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa happened on the B979 Maryculter-Stonehaven route at the Cookney junction around 7.30am. The Netherley road was blocked for nearly two hours as a result of the incident. Police and ambulance services were called to the scene and one man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. A police spokesman said his injuries were confined to “cuts and bruises”. He added: “We got the call at 7.30am, a car had overturned. An ambulance was at the scene treating someone for minor injuries, just cuts and bruises. “He was taken to ARI for checks. The car was recovered by 9am.”
