Police seek man in connection to indecent assault on Inverness bound train

British Transport Police has released a CCTV image of a man that officers wish to trace in connection with an investigation into an indecent incident that occurred on a train travelling between Edinburgh and Perth.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 16 on board the 12 noon service from Kings Cross to Inverness as the train travelled between Edinburgh and Perth.

Officers would like to speak to the man shown in the attached photograph, as it is believed he may have information which could assist with enquiries.

The man is described as being in his 40s, approximately 6 ft in height, of large build with a shaved head.

He has tattoos on both arms and at the time of the incident was wearing blue jeans, blue trainers and a black and white polo shirt with a checkered band and a logo.

Detective Constable Andrew Egan, the BTP officer in charge of the enquiry, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man in the photograph to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
